2014 Summer Blockbuster Movies

It’s summer! This is the best time to get laid back, relax, kick off your shoes and enjoy! You don’t need to think much about school and work. Because what you should be preoccupied in is your own enjoyment. No stress please! And what better way to do that is to watch movies.

This summer season, a number of cool summer blockbuster movies are out. And I am sure a number of us are excited to watch these. And repeat them soon in their own home theaters. Here are five of the best movies to watch.

1. Godzilla (May 15)

The 1998 version was said to be full of “lizard cliché’s” so this one would seem to look great. It was also rumored that this version is greatly loved Toho, the original Japanese company who created the first Godzilla 1954 film. This film is more focused on human emotions and is more sympathetic. It also looks less awkward since the film features the kaiju that goes against these monsters from the deep.

2. X-Men: Days of Future Past (May 22)

Another X-Men film that has been waited and anticipated by Marvel fans; X-Men: Days of Future Past is a sequel to X-Men: First Class. This film is set in two time zones, the 70’s and the future. This film includes time travel, lots of Mutant characters and of course, our ever beloved Wolverine who tries to save the apocalyptic future by being sent in time to prevent an event in the past.

3. Maleficent (May 28)

There are always two sides of a story. And it seems that Disney’s trend nowadays is to save and understand unappreciated villains. Maleficent, a character much hated in the classic Disney film will be seen in a different light in this flick.

4. Transformers: Age of Extinction (July 10)

Yes, Michael Bay did it again. And we now have a new installment for Transformers. This one stars LeBeouf and Wahlberg as a scientist who wreaks havoc in discovering Optimus Prime.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy (August 1)

Another Marvel superhero ensemble that features an orthodox team; and since this is Marvel, don’t ever forget to watch out for that end of credit clip.

Some of these movies are available in 3D format and is best heard with surround sound. Check them out in theaters near you.
